Scot Huntington on November 28th, 2023:

The church building has deteriorated considerably since the congregation disbanded some years ago. The building was purchased for development in November 2023, and the intact but unplayable organ is available, but realistically, in danger of being broken up or discarded. This is only one of two instruments by Tilton known to still exist, the other being in the Leeds Community Church.

Paul R. Marchesano on September 29th, 2022:

The OHS Handbook of 1992 gives the date of 1875 purchased from L. C. Tilton, referencing a flyer from the Livermore-Livermore Falls Historical Society, a lecture by Rev. Donald C. Taylor, "Lathrop Tilton Organ Factory, East Livermore," a History of Chesterville.

This entry appears to have been confused with the organ in Leeds, Maine. The same OHS Handbook sidebar references a second organ: "There is another Tilton organ in the Universalist Church at Brettuns Mills, a sectlon of Livermore, Maine. At the tlme the Leeds organ was constructed, the Tilton shop was located at Haines Corner in East Livermore."
