Updated through online information from Marjorie Kellner. -- I am the organist and choir director at the Original Congregational Church in Wrentham, MA, and have played this organ almost daily for over 30 years. It is in very good condition, and we hope to restore it to be its very best.
Updated through information from Laurence Libin: According to organist Marjorie Kellner, the 13-rank Austin op. 1457 now in that church was dedicated in 1948 but came there from Strand Theater in New Britain CT, where it was first installed in 1926. It has since been modified and lost most of its toy counter.
Information identifying this instrument from the Austin Organs, Inc. web site, accessed December 29, 2004: http://www.austinorgans.com/organ-research.htm.
