Smith. -- Built by Austin Organ Co., in 1911 for First Church of Christ, Scientist in Stamford, Connecticut 1951: Austin removed, rebuilt, reinstalled organ in West Avon Congregational Church, Avon, Connecticut, including new console and revised stoplist. Converted duplex windchest to modern Austin actions. 2001: Austin Organ Service Co. rebuilt organ, converting windchest to Peterson pipe valves, rebuilding console with new stopkeys and Classic Organ Works computer-based controls. Added 16 Walker digital "ranks." Specifications completely redesigned.
