Alan Creek on March 13th, 2026:

Soer Pipe Organ Company removed the top half of the organ (pipes and side slats) to enable construction and repairs to the tornado (December 10, 2021) damaged sanctuary. The keyboards and pedals were also removed. Once building construction was complete the organ was cleaned, repaired as needed reassembled and tuned several times.

The old trumpets were replaced with trumpets that were more suitable for the organ. Several of the new trumpets were of the mitered variety to better fit and to save space. This was done because the previous trumpets were starting to collapse because they did not fit in the instrument properly. The facade pipes were also stripped and refinished in new gold base-coat/matte clear-coat paint. The side slats were cleaned and repainted. The organ will be rededicated at a special service to be held on March 22, 2026 at 3p.m.
