J. A. Hefner on February 16th, 2026:

In January 1930, this High Street Christian Church and First Congregational Church [home of a Felgemaker organ] on Center Street voted to merge, which took place in 1931. They used the First Congregational building, and it was still used as a church by 1950.

This building appears to have been demolished and replaced in the 1970s, if this is the right location given [hard to tell from Vintage Aerial shots]. The Pilcher organ may have been long-gone by then.

Randall E. Wagner on May 9th, 2021:

Organ was removed and disposition unknown. New H. D. Blanchard Pipe Organ Opus 10 installed 1963

Database Manager on March 18th, 2019:

Updated by J. A. Hefner, naming this as the source of information: \"Henry Pilcher\'s Sons: Opus List and Historical Sketch\" by Bynum Petty.

The organ was completed October 1914, at cost $2000, with electro-pneumatic action and Orgoblo wind supply.

Database Manager on April 7th, 2005:

Identified through information in Vol. V p. 44 of the factory ledger and a list of Pilcher organs typed by William E. Pilcher of Louisville. For more information see the document referenced below.
