Craig Otto on May 7th, 2020:

The First Baptist Church in Merchantville, New Jersey was organized in 1890. Its first church building was a structure located at the corner of Center Street and Walnut Avenue. Some years later the church purchased land on the northeast corner of Center Street and Walnut Avenue for $3,000. At that location, the church erected a stone gothic-style structure that was completed and dedicated in April 1906.

The First Baptist Church no longer occupies this building, which now houses the High Place Church.

According to information found on the American Legion's website (https://www.centennial.legion.org/new-jersey/post68), the pipe organ was dedicated on 11/7/1920 to the memory of Corporal Frederick W. Grigg who had been killed during World War I.
