Database Manager on July 24th, 2005:

Online update from Robert G. Vogel -- The instrument has had minimal tonal changes. The entire organ is under expression. The Swell shade mechanism has been removed, while the shades remain in place. The Great/Choir shade mechanism is in place but the shades have been removed. Therefore there is no expression currently possible. It is believed those items removed are still on church property. While all but three stops function, there are dead notes and mechanical problems. It is currently believed that the Great 2' and Swell Vox Humana may not have been original. It is hoped to rebuild the instrument for a 2010 175th Church Anniversary rededication.

Designed by Richard Oliver Whitelegg. The organ has sustained water damage but mostly plays at this point (2005). (Information from the organist, Robert G. Vogel, July 2005)
