Jim Stettner on September 9th, 2025:

A 'story' had been created by Dave Moore, Owner of Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapels in Mason City in response to an October 2020 inquiry about the former Reuter organ from a regular OHS Database contributor. In his email reply, Mr. Moore stated, "The pipe organ that was in our chapel for many years (which came out of the former First Methodist Church in Mason City), was donated by us to the Kinney Pioneer Museum in 1999, where it remains today."

An email inquiry was sent to J.R. Neutel of the Reuter Organ Co. on Sept. 8, 2025 about the original installation location of Reuter Op. 582. The same day reply stated simply, "Opus 582 (2/3) was built for the funeral home."

Jim Stettner on June 24th, 2025:

Updated through online information from Jayson Engquist (June 24, 2025): The funeral home donated it (1999) to the Kinney Pioneer Museum in Clear Lake, Iowa where it presumably is extant.
