Database Manager on October 30th, 2004:

This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified from the Wicks opus list. Fuga de Luxe model. From an article: HISTORY OF ST. PETER’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, NEW MEMPHIS, CLINTON COUNTY, IL., 1863 – 1988 The 125th ANNIVERSARY on https://clintonilgenweb.org/churches/stpeter/history.htm. "The original Kilgen organ purchased in 1874 was replaced by a two-rank pipe organ in 1948 at a cost of $3,000.00."

The church was all but destroyed in a June 1960 tornado. A few pipes salvaged by Wicks. New building in 1961. New church has a 1978, 6-rank Wicks.
