This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by Steve Bartley, citing information from this publication: Evening Journal5/3/1919 ;Morning Journal Wilmington DE 5/10/1919.
Several articles about the raising of the funds for the organ project, and a few providing scant information in the Wilmington news papers. Only information provided - Two manual,23 stops, electro-pneumatic action, chimes. Current photos found on the Tabernacle webs site & Facebook page does not show any sign of organ in the front of church, nor photos showing the rear of church interior to indicate if an organ is extant.
Identified through information adapted from E. M. Skinner/Aeolian-Skinner Opus List, by Sand Lawn and Allen Kinzey (Organ Historical Society, 1997), and included here through the kind permission of Sand Lawn:
Replaced 1890 two manual M.P. Möller, #95; no information.
