Updated through online information from Richard Schneider. -- Our company, Schneider Pipe Organs, Inc., purchased this instrument in 1981 and removed it. Several ranks of the pipework were used in the organ built for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Steator, Illinois in 1979-83 and other ranks (4' Koppel Flöte and 4' Spitz Flöte) found their way into Farmer City UMC in Farmer City, Illinois in 1986. The rest were dispersed. The IV manual console is still in our shop and currently for sale, as is a "Positiv" windchest built by Toledo Organ Co. for this instrument. Much of the original E. M. Skinner material was sold to Nelson Barden of Boston, Massachusetts.
Identified through information adapted from E. M. Skinner/Aeolian-Skinner Opus List, by Sand Lawn and Allen Kinzey (Organ Historical Society, 1997), and included here through the kind permission of Sand Lawn:
E. M. Skinner Opus 444 (1923), relocated from the Ritz Theatre, Port Richmond (Staten Island), New York, and altered. Dispersed in 1986.
Related Instrument Entries: Skinner Organ Co. (Opus 444, 1923) , Richard Schneider / Schneider Pipe Organs, Inc. (Opus 17, 1987)
