Paul R. Marchesano on January 13th, 2022:

In 1961, during construction of Caldwell Chapel, designed by Fred Louis of the architectural firm of Louis & Henry, a fire· put plans for a pipe organ on hold. The generous gift of Roger Wood Puckett in 1984 made the organ possible, and it was named in honor of the donor. The instrument was dedicated with a recital by Larry Smith on 17 November 1985; Melvin Dickinson, consultant to the Seminary for the organ project, gave an all-Bach recital on 1 December 1985.

The keydesk is detached. The Viola di Gamba 8' is tapered; the Traversfloete 4' is harmonic. In the Pedal division, the Octavebass 8' is common in part with the Great Principal 8'; the Flutebass 8' is common in pari with the Subbass 16'; and the Trumpet 8' is common in part with the Posaune 16'. -- from 1993 OHS Handbook
