At its peak in 1942, the church had a little over 3,000 members and was the largest Presbyterian Church east of the Mississippi. Central Presbyterian Church sold its building to Mount Saint Joseph Academy in 2007 and merged back with First Presbyterian Church. Mount Saint Joseph closed in 2010. As of June 2011, the building was vacant and listed for sale (information from Buffalo Architecture and History website).

Congregation earlier had owned Farrand & Votey opus 794, which was rebuilt c. 1912 by Frank Beman. (The Beman organ was 4 manuals, 52 stops.) The Möller organ retained the Echo division of the previous organ. The organ existed in the church in 2003.
Identified through online information from Douglas Alderdice. -- The church building is currently under a pending sale with the congregation moving to new quarters. The future of the organ is uncertain.
