Updated through on-line information from Bob Alder. -- The original console was destroyed by the wave of the 1960 tsunami. The Hilo Theatre was closed and slated for demolition. The pipe chambers were spared damage from the tsunami, so the organ went to a private home in Honolulu. It was donated back to the Hilo Palace Theater for restoration and re-installation. It has been enlarged to 14 ranks (as of July 2008) with ranks and the four manual console from the Waikiki Theatre.
Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Originallly built for the New Palace Theatre in Hilo. Moved here in 1940.
