Apparently the Swell 8' Vox Humana was not satisfactory, because it was replaced by the factory in August of the following year under Guarantee order #296. In July 1951 new felted caps were installed on the Swell 16' Lieblich Gedeckt and the Choir 8' Lieblich Flute and 4' Lieblich Flute.

In 1987 the console was rebuilt by Goulding & Wood of Indianapolis with solid-state switching from Peterson ElectroMusical Products Inc. Additional accessories and couplers and switching for some additional stops were provided. The Great 8' Trumpet/Pedal r6' Trombone unit was made available at 16', 8', and 4' pitches on the Great (with repeating top octave in the 4' stop) and in the Pedal. Additional couplers included Great to Great 16', Great Unison Off, Great to Great 4', Swell Unison Off, Choir Unison Off, Great to Pedal 4', and Pedal to Pedal 4'. A 32' Resultant was wired for the Pedal from the 16' Contra Bass with the 16' Bourdon at 10⅔' pitch. Also, a II Mixture for the Pedal was wired from the Contra Bass unit.

In 1998 the estate of Roger Ide (Class of 1959) established the Ide Organ Performance and Care Fund. Ide served as college organist in his undergraduate years. The fund provides for the perpetual maintenance of the organ and for an annual performance by a prominent organist. Performers have included Simon Preston, Judith and Gerre Hancock, and Craig Cramer.
