Database Manager on February 27th, 2007:

Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Originally built for the chapel of the central offices of the Presbyterian Synod of California, Southern Area in Los Angeles. Later, when Synod was restructured, the former chapel wa converted to office space. Organ placed in storage. Used here in the Parish Hall of Pasadena Presbyterian Church as temporary instrument after the 1971 earthquake while the new church was under contruction. The father of the pastor at Laurelhurst presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon was a member of PPC, and knew of their need for an instrument. The Schlicker was given to Laurlehurst Presbyterian Church as a gift from the McDowell Family from whom it had originally been a gift. It was dismantled my Manuel Rosales, retrieved by men from LPC in Portland, and re-installed by Manuel Rosales in 1976 without tonal changes.
