Paul R. Marchesano on February 24th, 2025:

I was organist of Reid Memorial Augusta from 2007-2015. I took organ lessons and practiced on no. 25825 in my earliest college years. No. 25825 no longer exists in its original status. Approximately 40% of no. 25825 pipework was incorporated into no. 9572 in 2003 with all new chassis, console, etc.

Database Manager on November 27th, 2016:

Updated through online information from John McCraney.
In 2003,this organ was removed by Schantz and became part of a much larger Schantz. The acoustics of the church were improved, and the choir divided chancel was converted to the usual face-the-congregation arrangement with the organ installed in a large case with burnished pipes behind. The old organ chamber opening (on one side only) was given a window to complement the extant window on the other side of the chancel, outside light being provided by a skylight over the old chamber.

Database Manager on April 28th, 2007:

Identified through on-line information from Louis Playford. -- I took lessons on this organ in 1981-2. The stoplist was recorded from the console at that time.
