Updated by Stephen Rose, who has heard or played the organ.
New information found from the Dansville Express Thursday May 5, 1881 recalling the 50 year history of the church, describes the original church building which was constructed in 1846/1847. It mentions the organ, purchased of the celebrated builder Henry Erben. This original organ is believed to have been a 1 manual instrument, and further evidence suggests that it was located in a gallery.
