Database Manager on July 15th, 2008:

Updated through on-line information from Gary Rutherford. -- Organ was originally installed in the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. Organ removed by Ronald Gibson of Ohio and sold to Faith Lutheran Church, Phoenix AZ. Organ renovated and installed by volunteers from the parish at Faith in 2003 with unchanged specifications. Console electrified and combination system replaced with Peterson ICS-4000. This organ has no connection to Opus 8719 built in 1955 which is currently stored on site at the church for eventual renovation and installation in chapel.

Database Manager on January 20th, 2008:

Identified through on-line information from Stephen Hall. -- Original organ was smaller, additional ranks added and new console by unknown builder, completed in 2005. Information from church web site; organ in its enlarged form dedicated May 2005. [Manager's Note: The present organ is not a re-build and enlargement of 8719, as was thought when this note was added to the Database. See below.]

  • Concert May 2014 This is a recording of a May 2014 concert, featuring William Barnett playing the organ, joined by Mark Hatfield at the piano in a duet arrangement of "Shout to the Lord" by Darlene Zschech, arranged by Joel Raney. The audio in this recording has an impressive dynamic range and really shows off the pedal ranks well.
