The congregation numbered over 3,000 members when the church was built; when they closed, they were down to 60; the 840-seat sanctuary and the rest of the building are being converted to luxury condos; the organ was donated by the building's new owners to a church in Tallahassee.
The congregation merged with Epworth United Methodist Church in January 2016 with the tentative name of New Church; the Druid Hills property is expected to be sold during 2016; the congregation had over 2,000 members in the late 1960's.
