Database Manager on July 6th, 2008:
Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ was originally built for First Presbyterian of Jacksonville, IL. It was advertised for sale in the March 4, 1985 issue of "Monday Morning" (Vol. 50, No. 5). The negotiable sale price was $15,000.00. The organ was acquired by Community Presbyterian and installed by Harold Curryer with one tonal change. The Great was based on an 8' Bourdon. The pedal 8' Diapason was unified to play at 8-4-2 and had 56 pipes, so Mr. Curryer wired it to also play as the Great 8' Diapason - utilizing the Great tremolo rocker tablet. Five of the organ's registers are clearly not original to the Möller, and may be registers retained by Möller from the Jacksonvile church's former organ. These are: Great 8' Flauto Dolce and 2-2/3' Quinte; and Swell 4' Flute Harmonic, III Plein Jeu, and 4' Hautbois (which is an orchestral oboe). The organ was dedicated April 13, 1986 at 3:00 p.m. with guest organist John French. Sources: Möller opus list, extant organ documented: November 1995.
