The Twin Cities AGO records show a Wirsching (19 ranks) in 1915 in a previous building, a Page (in a roof chamber) in 1929 (this building dates to 1923), and a Moller (11 ranks) in the balcony in 1969. Per a member, the Page console was moved to the balcony (along with the choir) in 1952, with the pipes still in the ceiling chamber. We have no record of this Wicks at this church.
The Wicks opus list spells the church "Emmanuel", not "Immanuel", yet there is no identifiable "Emmanuel Lutheran" from the 1940's still in St. Paul.
Also, this church is not large. I personally cannot even imagine where 31 ranks of Wicks could even fit. In 1946 it would have included at least one full-length 16' if not more, and there simply is no room in this church. Even the Moller had only one 16' metal Contrabass, mitered, and the miters failed and were repaired in 1989.
Thus I question if this is the correct location.
