The instrument is in fair condition and is not in regular use. The church building is owned by a private family as their primary residence. It was rebuilt in 1960.

Updated through online information from Dale Norton. -- My wife and I own the old Episcopal church in Fort Scott, Kansas. It has a J. G. Pfeffer organ that plays beautifully. In the church history book it states that it was the last organ Pfeffer ever built. It was installed in 1908.
