Database Manager on October 24th, 2017:
Updated by Database Builders editor -- Carl Bassett purchased the company and right to the name from Ernest Skinner in 1949. He operated the company in Reading, Massachusetts until 1959 when he moved the company to Oakland, Florida. He continued operation there until 1976 when he sold the company to J. Bolton who moved the firm to Boston, Massachusetts.

Database Manager on September 7th, 2013:
Updated through online information from James M. Robertson. -- Built in 1956 for Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, MN. Designed, installed, and voiced by Carl Bassett (who bought the Skinner company in 1949 upon Ernest's retirement). (Mr, Bassett's involvement is documented in papers from Trinity Church). It is a late Skinner, as Mr. Bassett appears to have stopped building Skinner organs a year or so later. The organ was purchased in 1990 by Wooddale Lutheran Church. Gould and Schultz rebuilt and enlarged the organ from its original 17 ranks. The organ continues in use in both traditional and contemporary liturgies.
