According to Rollin Smith's book, The Aeolian Pipe Organ and its Music the contract was signed May 6, 1908. Cost was $70,000.00. It was the largest and most expensive Aeolian organ-to-date. The initial specifications were in Italian, but this as changed to standard Aeolian nomenclature. The organ was shipped March 16, 1909.

Identified through Rollin Smith's article in the February 2009 issue of The American Organist. After Bourne's death, the residence became for a time (1927-2001) the site of a Military Academy. The organ was sold in 1948 to the Toledo Pipe Organ Co.. Parts of it went to Detroit, part to San Diego.
