Updated by Scot Huntington, who gave this as the source of the information: On-line news story.. <br> <br>On July 27, 2017, an online news story reported the organ is being removed due to "renovation of the Recital Hall". The story contained a video of the organ being removed to storage by SDG Pipe Organs, Millersville, Pennsylvania. The story reports the organ had recently been purchased through an online auction for $16,000 by the Park Forest United Methodist Church. A search for this name brings up Park Forest Village UMC in State College, Pennsylvania, which contains a 2-manual 1967 Wicks, listed on the database. Further confirmation is needed that this is the new destination for the organ and that it will replace the Wicks.

Pipe Organs, in 2005. The overhaul included cleaning of all of the pipework, re-leathering of all of the instrument-s mechanical components, installation of a 99 memory level solid state combination action and a complete rewiring of the instrument in compliance with the National Electrical Code protocol for pipe organs. This renovation substantially increased the number of manual pistons and toestuds. The school is building a new facility and the organ is for sale on www.govdeals.com. Opening bid is listed as $1,000.00. In an online post on Facebook 'Pipe Organ Garage Sale', former Penn State student Keith Kostiuk said, "This makes me sad. I went to school there and played everyday on this instrument. Loved it. They recently added a pedal stop and upgraded the console. They are planning on building a new recital Hall and from what I heard this space will become a large rehearsal room. No one majoring or minor in organ I guess. Very sad if they are just getting rid of it for space."
