When the theater closed, Moller was contracted by Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Detroit in November 1930 to remove the organ from the theatre to the factory, refurbish it and reinstall it at the church with tonal changes and a new console and case. It played there until 1993, when workers doing a renovation of the church accidentally cut the power cables.

From cinematreasures.org: The 1862-seat Washington Theatre opened on July 21, 1913. It was renamed Fox-Washington Theatre in 1919 when it had been taken over by William Fox. It was closed in 1928 and demolished.
