The Subterranean Tuba, on 20" of wind, is located in the basement and speaks through the floor behind expression shades. The organ also includes several ranks of pipes from the church's previous ca. 1928 Austin organ.
Identified through on-line information from John Gouwens. -- This organ was from a brief period when Wicks was attempting to return to the style of organs they built in the 1930s with Vincent Willis. There were reportedly just four large organs that resulted from that initiative before there was a parting of ways, and the tonal people involved formed another company. This is an astoundingly convincing re-creation of a Willis-style "English" organ, and in fine acoustics, to boot! The organ is in its original home, but it includes seven ranks from a mostly-vandalized Austin that preceded it.
