Description of the organ, including stoplist and having been heard on the previous Sunday dates the organ to 1850. Previously thought to be 1851. Cost $700. "It has ten stops, viz [stoplist inserted - see docs]...thirteen subbass pipes, played by pedals ... The compass of the Organ is C.C. to G, in alto, nearly five octaves." -- information from State Indiana Sentinel (Indianapolis, Indiana) ยท 11 Apr 1850, Thu ยท Page 1.
Updated through online information from John C. Ball. -- Organ was junked and replaced by an electronic organ in 1950. Facade was retained until 1968 when MP Moller was installed.
Church consecrated 7 Feb. 1850. Organ to be complete by Easter. Dismantled.
