The electric slider chests in this organ were not built by Laukhuff, but by Dobson Pipe Organ Builders, Ltd., of Lake City, IA.

While essentially a new organ, several ranks of the previous Estey Organ were retained in the new Schantz. These consist of the Pedal Open Wood, Bourdon, Violone, Choir Gemshorn, Swell Bourdon. The manual main chests for the flues consist of slider chests, built by Laukhuff, with electric pulldowns and solenoid stop actions, as well as Schantz built pitman or unit EP chests for reeds and offset flues. The console is movable although it seldom leaves its location on the right side of the platform and is connected via a multiplex cable. While there is sufficient space, the 32- Bombarde is half length at GGGG.

Regardless of the console nomenclature, the tonal characteristic of the instrument is fairly stayed and very American with slightly French inclined reeds. Many of the Principals and other open flues of the organ are tapered and not cylindrical. The English Horn of the Choir is more of a bright conical capped Oboe, made by Schopps. The high pressure Festival trumpet, with its own manual, is not a chamade or hooded and stands on the same chest as the Choir reeds, with separate pressure. The Swell Voix Humaine is on a separate chest and enclosure outside of the box at the back with an opening to speak into the box in the back center through the half length Bassoon bass.

Enclosed divisions are on the right side, Choir on top, Swell below, and unenclosed divisions on the left, Pedal main above, Great below with the large pedal stops placed at the back of the chamber.
