Database Manager on October 8th, 2010:

Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was built by the church's former Music Director, Marshall Stone. The two ranks are an 8' Rohr Flute and a 4' Spitz Principal. There is only one drawknob control. The 8' Rohr Flute is always on, and the single drawknob adds the 4' Spitz Principal. Interestingly, the connection from drawknob to slider is made through the top of the toeboard! The Rohr Flute begins as stopped wood, turns to capped metal, and then to a chimney flute. The first 3 pipes of the Spitz Principal are of copper. The pipework looks to be of European manufacture. The manual compass is 40 notes from AA thru c 49. The action consists of the key tails engaging a backfall which then returns the action forward where the other end of the backfall is attached to the chest pull-downs by string.
