Updated through on-line information from Leonardo A. Ciampa. -- The instrument was built in 1957, not 1961. The landmark instrument, one of the first European-built trackers in America in the 20th century, was a teaching and practicing instrument from generations of students, from Yuko Hayashi to the 21st century. Currently (2007) the organ department is closed, and the future of the organ is uncertain.
