Jim Stettner on April 12th, 2026:

From the parish website. "Austin Opus 1040 faithfully served the church for nearly seventy years. In 1990, Crosson and Savage (Cedars, PA) re-leathered, mechanically refurbished, and tonally updated the instrument. The console and some of the pipework from Austin Opus 2603, First and Central Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, Delaware, were used in this rebuild. The rebuild was made possible in parts by gifts from Susan Starr and Theodora H. Buxton."

Database Manager on January 12th, 2011:

Tonal rebuild of existing Austin organ and installation of second-hand Austin console of newer vintage. 1922 Great principals and Major Flute replaced with principals, flutes, 3-rank mixture, and the 3-manual console from Austin Opus 2603, formerly in the First and Central Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, Delaware. All other Austin 1040 pipework including some of the beautiful strings and all of the colorful reeds were retained and are in use today.
