Identified through online information from William Dunklin. -- In the late 1920's Loew's theatres built 5 grand halls in the New York area billed as the Loew's Wonder Theatres. The Loew's 175th Street Theatre was the last of these to open. Each of the 5 theatres was equipped with a nearly identical IV/23 Robert Morton organ. Though all 5 buildings still exist, this is the only one of the 5 to retain its original organ in place. Loew's transferred the property to the United Church in 1969. It is also known as the Palace Church, the Palace Cathedral, Reverend Ike's and/or the United Palace. It is also used as a concert venue.
