Database Manager on May 31st, 2012:

Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was the addition of an exposed 2-rank Great to the existing organ, which was a second-hand Kimball installed by Balcom and Vaughan in 1947 as their opus 454 - a 2-manual, 7-rank organ which they electrified before installation. Cost of the 2-rank additions was $1,851.00. The congregation was originally Central Baptist, and changed its name to First Baptist in 1951. The building is the old St. John's Episcopal.
