This organ may have been built for the First Presbyterian Church, Raleigh. The church website says their building was built in 1900, and *The Raleigh News & Observer* (3/27/1902 pg. 8) announces the new Stein organ had just been completed and ready for use. A mention in *The Diapason* March 1955, the local AGO chapter held their meeting at the Raleigh Presbyterian church. A feature mentioned was to see and hear the 52 yr old tracker organ. The present organ in the church is a 1956 Moller organ.
Research of the Moravian church in Raleigh reveals until 1957, the congregation had only temporary accommodations at various locations in the Raleigh area. The first building they built was an education building where the all purpose room was used for church services. It is possible that this 1902 Stein organ was built for the Presbyterian congregation.
