Updated through online information from T. Daniel Hancock.
Identified through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- The locally published church history, "Park Presbyterian Church History 1858-2007 states: "On May 6, 1948, it was decided at a special congregational meeting to proceed with plans to remodel the organ, rearrange the choir loft and construct a divided chancel with a new Communion Altar. This major construction was followed in January of 1950 with the decision to install wall to wall carpet over the entire sanctuary floor. This beautification and modernization of the church cost $24,666.70, which was largely met by memorials and a major gift from Miss Bess D. Williams- Estate. The remodeled organ was dedicated on Feb. 3, 1952 with a recital by Prof. Paul S. Pettinga of the School of Music at the University of Illinois. The original Lyon and Healy organ had been enriched and rebuilt by the Gratian Organ Builders at Decatur, IL."
