Identified through online information from Paul Binko. -- Rebuild by Casavant with an enlarged stop list and one rank rescaled. No other alterations were made. The rebuild project was directed by Simon Couture, re-voicing by Richard Marchand, installation by Donald DuLaney and David Storey.
The original organ was built for the New York residence of Archer Gibson. Aeolian, Opus 1419 (1918, 1929) Electro-pneumatic action 3 manuals, 33 stops, 26 ranks. At the end of his life, Gibson donated the instrument to Saint Mary's Seminary to be used in their newly constructed chapel. Casavant used many mechanisms and seventeen ranks, and added sixteen additional ranks to the instrument in 1954 as their Opus #2226.
