The Organ Dedication program dated April 29, 1979 states: "The new Delaware Pipe Organ which you are hearing this evening replaces the 1923 W.S. Stevens Organ which was moved from our former church site at Baldwin @ Church Streets. A number of wind chests and over 1300 pipes were retained from the Stevens organ and incorporated into the new instrument after considerable reworking and revoicing of the original pipes."
Updated through online information from David Jackson. -- The organ is currently being rebuilt by David Peckham
Updated through online information from John Igoe. -- The organ was built in the 1920s by the Gottfried Co. of Erie, Pa., to a design by the W.S. Stephens Organ Builders of Moravia, N.Y. It was moved from the congregation's prior location in downtown Elmira to its current site in the mid-1960s.
Relocation of existing W.S. Stevens organ of the 1930s from its original location in the former church building downtown to a new structure.
