An article by A.E. Schlueter in the May, 2014 issue of the Diapason states that the new Wicks organ was bedeviled with a multitude of problems from the very beginning. These included but were not limited to: Insufficient wind pressure and wind pressure's inappropriate for use with electro-mechanical action, blocked tonal egress, severely impaired shutter function, and structural and support issues with the facade that posed safety concerns for the church. Schlueter completely rebuilt the organ just six years out from it's installation. Citing a sour economy Wicks sold the Highland, IL plant around 2011 and currently occupy much smaller quarters there.
