Updated through online information from Andrew Henderson [January 14, 2026]: From The Globe and Mail (April 21, 1921): "Among other interior changes that are at present taking place in the building, Knox Presbyterian Church is having a new organ and a set of chimes installed. It is expected that the work will be completed by the end of May. At present the congregation are without an organ." (September 24, 1921): "Special services will mark the 101st anniversary of Knox Presbyterian Church ... from 7:30 to 8:30 on Monday evening Mr. Franklin Legge, who built the new organ, will give a recital in the church."
Updated through online information from John Speller. -- suggests that the instrument was replaced by Casavant Op. 2089, 1953.
This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by John Speller, using information found in a brochure issued by the Franklin Legge Organ Company Ltd., Toronto, c. 1930. -- The brochure is available online at: http://ia600709.us.archive.org/6/items/cfranklinleggeor00toro/cfranklinleggeor00toro.pdf . The OHS Database also lists Casavant Op. 2089 of 1953 for this location. Perhaps the Casavant instrument replaced the earlier Legge organ.
