Database Manager on May 23rd, 2013:

This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by John Speller, using information from Pictorial and Biographical Memoirs of Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties, Indiana (1893) p. 286, where there is a partial list of Louis H. Van Dinter-s organs.
--

The above source notes that Louis H. Van Dinter built organs in Detroit, Michigan, between 1870 and 1877, before moving to Mishawaka, Indiana. The present church was built in 1903, and the organ was probably in the previous building, built in 1846 and enlarged in 1866.
