Updated by William M. Worden, naming this as the source of information: Detroit Free Press, January 28, 1887: The Detroit Free Press of January 28, 1887 reported on the inaugural recital by Clarence Eddy the evening before. The article includes: "The occasion was the exhibition of the new Roosevelt grand organ..."
As Op. 1515 in 1936, Casavant added a new console, manual chests and new and replacement pipework; the church closed in 1979 and the buildings were sold to the United House of Jeremiah, who soon vacated the facility. The building burned to a shell on June 23, 1986.
This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by James R. Stettner, using information from this web site: http://database.organsociety.org/SingleOrganDetails.php?OrganID=46871.
