Paul R. Marchesano on January 31st, 2022:
The organ was installed as part of the new chapel building. From the Vassar website: "The Vassar Chapel, built in 1904 as a home for religious life on campus, represents a component of Vassar education from the college’s founding."

Database Manager on November 30th, 2013:
This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in a vintage post card. -- Case designed by the chapel's architects. The Hutchings-Votey organ was removed in the mid-1960's though the case [with modified facade] was retained for the replacement organ.
