A fire on August 7, 1993 destroyed the console and the organ sustained smoke damage. The organ was cleaned and restored; a new 5-manual console was built by Guilbaut-Therien; James A. Konzelman installed a new MultiSystem relay and switching system, as well as making significant tonal changes; the organ now has 138 ranks.
Originally installed in 1928-29 as 4/75 Austin Op. 1586; in 1961, Austin rebuilt the organ added a new console and made extensive tonal changes and additions that culminated in 1972 with 137 ranks.
