The organ has been identified as built by the Burlington Organ Company from an article in the Diapason, Feb 1, 1912. Cost $8000. See Documents tab. Current photos of the church website indicate a newer organ installed with exposed pipework, i.e., Moller Opus 9556, c. 1961.
This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in post card mailed in 1912.
-- A postcard mailed in 1912 shows an organ at the front of the church, pipe fence facade and attached, 2-manual console. The casework design suggests the work of M.P. Moller, but the builder is not identified. From the church's website: "In May of 1917, two churches in Sandwich, a Baptist church and a Presbyterian church, formed a federation...one church having a building and the other church having the pastor." As of 2014 the congregation still occupies the former Presbyterian building. They purchased Moller opus 9556 in 1961. Fate of the older organ is unknown.
