Database Manager on June 28th, 2014:
This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Rodney J. Weed, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- This organ was installed new in 1993 in the second church building that was home to First Presbyterian Church. It was in located in downtown Fond du Lac and completed in 1915. In 1996 the Church burned down but the organ was salvaged. It was cleaned and restored where necessary by Peters and Weiland Organ Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and installed in the new and present sanctuary, which was built in 1998. One of the changes was that all pipes were now hidden in a chamber. When installed in 1993 in the old church there were visible facade pipes.
