The Chalmers sanctuary sustained extensive smoke and water damage on Easter Sunday April 10, 1955, by a fire that destroyed the Sunday School building and hall; after Dominion United (Methodist) Church burned in 1961, the congregation merged in 1962 with Chalmers United (Presbyterian) Church to become Dominion-Chalmers United Church; Op. 1260 was relocated when it was replaced in 1964 by 4/95 Casavant Op. 2815.
