Opus 1, 1960s

This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by Martha Bosch, based on personal knowledge of the organ.
-- This wonderful pipe organ was conceived and built over several years time by a dedicated group of musicians and church members, each bringing their individual skills to the project:
Harvey and Oliver Weddle and the men of Ellisforde Church of the Brethren, including Sid Lawless, and Roy Rhoads.
Many ranks of pipes were ordered from distant lands, from organs being disassembled, to be re-purposed in this instrument. It is our rural county's only pipe organ; a credit to the ingenuity and spirit to those who brought it forth, and a joy to all who hear and enjoy it weekly.
