Database Manager on July 31st, 2015:

"A new organ was procured in 1812, built by Catlin & Bacon in this city, at a cost of $500, as by contract; but some additions were made, which brought the price up to $511.52. For the old instrument [ca.1795 Catlin] $150 was allowed, and the remaining was raised by subscription. The organ was considerably enlarged in 1817." from Contributions to the History of Christ Church, Hartford (Hartford: Belknap & Warfield, 1895)
